Mindset is Everything

Mindsets plays a significant role in our personal development, success, and well-being. Mindset influences behavior and decision-making. And, when your mindset gets distorted by culture and disappointing life experiences you can find yourself in a slump called… regret… wishing that you could turn back the hands of time and re-write history. Being in a slump too long is tormenting, creating depression, and ultimately wreaking havoc on your self-worth and self-esteem.

Proverbs 23:7 as he {or she} thinks in his heart… so is he!

So, I want to caution you to avoid destructive thinking patterns. Steer clear of what is called a “victim’s mentality” …thinking that you are trapped or stuck with no way out.   A victim’s mindset convinces you that there is nothing you can do. Consequently, victims do not seek change because they feel powerless and hopeless.

But!... note what God says about you… For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11)

So, if there is an area of your life that you want to change, start with how you think about it… Romans 12:2 “we are transformed by the renewing our mind…” ask yourself, what destructive thought patterns caused this area of your life to be in trouble?

Examine your thoughts. Seek out ways to feed your mind “transformation-specific” knowledge such as leadership training www.globalleadership.org , personal development books (‘Emotionally Healthy Spirituality’ by Peter Scazzero) and of course the tried-and-true Word of God!

Remember, you are in total control of your mindset!

  • Find purpose in your pain!
  • Use regrets to fuel growth!
  • Never give up on becoming your best self!

In conclusion… mindset really is EVERYTHING!
